PILGRIMAGE TO POLAND
Holy Mass is planned for each day of the pilgrimage. The exact location and time will depend on local arrangements and site availability.
Itineraries
Day 1
Date : September 14, 2026
Departure from Chicago
Meeting at the airport in Chicago. Direct flight from Chicago-O’Hare at 5:10 pm, landing at Warsaw Chopin airport at 9:20 am the next day.
Day 2
Date : September 15, 2026
Arrival at Warsaw airport at 9:20 a.m. Baggage claim. Transfer for a visit to POLIND MUSEUM OF THE HISTORY OF POLISH JEWS, which presents th centuries-long history of Jews living in Poland. Then transfer for Holy Mass. Transfer to the hotel, check-in. Free time to relax. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3
Date : September 16, 2026
Breakfast. Guided sightseeing tour of WARSAW . Walking tour of the Old Town, where we will see the Royal Castle, the Basilica, and the Mermaid Monument. Next, a relaxing walk through one of the city’s largest parks – Łazienki Park (Royal Baths Park). Holy Mass. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Warsaw.
Day 4
Date : September 17, 2026
Breakfast and check-out. Transfer to GDAŃSK. Guided city tour including: Uphagen House (Museum of Bourgeois Interiors), Neptune’s Fountain, Main Town Hall, the Royal Route (Długa Street and Długi Targ), Crane Gate, Długie Pobrzeże, Mariacka Street, and St. Mary’s Basilica (viewed from the outside).Holy Mass and free time. Transfer to the hotel, check-in, dinner, and overnight stay in Gdańsk.
Day 5
Date : September 18, 2026
Breakfast. Transfer to ELBLĄG, famous for its charming reconstructed Old Town and the Elbląg Canal – a unique 19th-century engineering masterpiece of global significance. Guided sightseeing of Elbląg. Holy Mass. Then, enjoy a cruise on the ELBLĄG CANAL – an extraordinary journey where ships “sail over grass, ” overcoming differences in water levels thanks to a 19th-century system of water-powered ramps – the only one of its kind in the world. Transfer to Toruń, hotel check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 6
Date : September 19, 2026
Breakfast. Guided sightseeing tour of TORUŃ – one of Poland’s most beautiful cities, famous for its Gothic Old Town listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and as the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus. Holy Mass. Visit the LIVING MUSEUM OF GINGERBREAD, where you will learn about the tradition of baking Toruń gingerbread and the medieval history of the city. Transfer to the hotel in the Licheń area, check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 7
Date : September 20, 2026
Breakfast. Transfer to the Sanctuary in LICHEŃ STARY. Holy Mass. Guided tour: Basilica of Our Lady of Licheń, Chapel of the Holy Trinity, the miraculous image of Our Lady of Licheń, the observation tower, and the bell tower. Free time for individual prayer, souvenir shopping, and relaxation in the sanctuary surroundings. Transfer to the Częstochowa area, hotel check-in, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 8
Date : September 21, 2026
Breakfast. Guided visit to JASNA GÓRA MONASTERY, including the Knights’ Hall, the 600th Anniversary Museum, the Bastion of St. Roch, and the Basilica of the Holy Cross and Our Lady of Częstochowa (with the Chapel of the Miraculous Icon of Our Lady). Holy Mass. Transfer to OŚWIĘCIM for a guided tour of the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum – an authentic memorial site of the largest German Nazi concentration and extermination camp. Transfer to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 9
Date : September 22, 2026
Breakfast. Transfer to WADOWICE, the birthplace of Karol Wojtyła
(Pope John Paul II).Visit the Basilica of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, home to the miraculous image of Our Lady of Perpetual Help – the church where Karol Wojtyła was baptized and received his First Holy Communion. Holy Mass in Wadowice Transfer to Zakopane. Take a funicular ride to GUBAŁÓWKA HILL (1,129 m / 3,704 ft) for a panoramic view of the Tatra Mountains, then descend back to the town center. Enjoy a regional dinner at a local restaurant. Transfer to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 10
Date : September 23, 2026
Breakfast. Transfer to the SANCTUARY OF OUR LADY OF FATIMA IN KRZEPTÓWKI, the largest church in Zakopane, built as a votive offering for saving the life of Pope John Paul II after the assassination attempt. Holy Mass. Walking tour to see the papal altar from the Great Meadow, monuments of St. John Paul II and Cardinal Dziwisz. Transfer to Kraków, hotel check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 11
Date : September 24, 2026
Breakfast. Guided tour of KRAKÓW: St. Mary’s Church, the Old Town, Floriańska Street, Wawel Hill, Planty Park, the Barbican, and city defensive walls (sightseeing from the outside). Holy Mass. Free time. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 12
Date : September 25, 2026
Breakfast. Guided tour of KAZIMIERZ DISTRICT, the historic part of Kraków once inhabited by both Jewish and Christian communities. Program includes Wolnica Square, several historic churches such as the Church on the Rock (National Pantheon with Crypts of Distinguished Poles), St. Catherine’s Church, and Corpus Christi Church. Next, transfer to ŁAGIEWNIKI to visit the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy of St. Faustina and the Sanctuary of St. John Paul II. Holy Mass. Return to the hotel in Kraków for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 13
Date : September 26, 2026
Departure to Chicago
Breakfast and check-out. Transfer to the airport. Airport check-in. Flying out of Krakow airport at 12:05 p.m., Arrival at Chicago-O’Hare at 03:10 p.m., the same day.
