Itineraries
Day 1
Date : May 8, 2026
Departure
Depart. Please make sure your suitcases are not overweight (50 lb or less). Pack essential items and some clothes into your carry on bag and backpack.
Day 2
Date : May 9, 2026
Arrival in Nairobi. The Missionary Brothers will pick us up. If time allows, visit the orphanage center for evening prayers. All meals at the mission.
Day 3
Date : May 10, 2026
Mass in the orphanage center with children if the weather permits. Cultural Dance/Visiting African huts & dinner in the city
Day 4
Date : May 11, 2026
Visiting Children at Divine Mercy School, helping teachers at school, serving lunch at school.
In the afternoon, we will shop for essential food items and donate to the needy families
Day 5
Date : May 12, 2026
Local National Park- Safari/Elephant Orphanage Center. The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust operates an orphaned elephant rescue and wildlife rehabilitation program in Nairobi / Giraffe Center - FREE DAY
Lunch in the city
Day 6
Date : May 13, 2026
Visiting Public School at Maua
Visit the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor
Orphanage Center - spend some time playing games with the kids
In the afternoon, we will be cooking dinner for the Missionary Brothers.
Day 7
Date : May 14, 2026
Day with the children from the Divine Mercy School. We will be taking them on a field trip to the museum and the park.
Day 8
Date : May 15, 2026
Tea Plantation in the morning, lunch will be provided at the plantation. Then we will spend the afternoon at the orphanage center with the children.
Day 9
Date : May 16, 2026
Orphanage center in the morning.
Visit the John Paul II medical clinic and pack food for the elderly woman/serve lunch.
Games with the local youth at the Brothers compound.
Concert by the local youth/young adults choir.
Day 10
Date : May 17, 2026
Mass with the local people at the Brothers Monastery.
In the early afternoon, we will visit the Basilica in Nairobi, the viewpoint center, and the museum.
Dinner in the city.
Day 11
Date : May 18, 2026
A day at the mission, helping Brothers with their daily tasks.
Packing and goodbye dinner at 6 pm - leaving for the airport at 8 pm.
Day 12
Date : May 19, 2026
Arrival back in the States

Meals – all meals at the mission ( breakfast/lunch/dinner/lunch at the tee plantation)

Entrance fees: National Park and Safari, elephant orphanage center tee plantation, giraffe center, cultural dances/African tribal houses, Karen Blixen Museum, Nairobi viewpoint

Meals outside of the mission ( 2 lunches and 2 dinners)
- $100 -$150 extra to cover the cost of snacks/coffee/ food while traveling/sightseeing.
Currently, the Yellow Fever or COVID-19 vaccine is not required. We always take malaria medication. I recommend consulting your family doctor or a travel clinic. I am, of course, available for help.

Cancellation 60 days or more before departure – full refund of tour cost (airfare not included). Airline credit may be available depending on airline policy.

Cancellation 59–30 days before departure – 50% of paid amount is non-refundable

Cancellation less than 30 days before departure – 100% of paid amount is non-refundable
Refunds will be issued within 30 days.
